Traveling Etiquette: Lesson 1

To the gentleman/madam with the crusty, smelly, bunion filled toes:

Please wear socks when you know you have to take off your shoes before you walk through the security check point at the airport. I’d rather not have your foot’s smell or appearance haunt my dreams on the plane.

Sincerely,

Vince

I can see you in my sleep
Every dream, you’re haunting me
All the anger and lines of sight
I can’t tell I’m in your eyes
Never once is my mind released
I can’t breathe, I can’t believe
God knows it’s always something
When I can feel you coming

And every move I make in time and space
I know you’re there, in the shadows
And every burning night I try to shake
I know you’re there, I feel you there
Always

There’s nothing I can do
To free myself from you (I can’t get away)
You hold my words to the light
Reminding me of yesterdays (oh, oh, oh)
How can I relive these thoughts
Over and over, day by day?
God knows it’s always something
When I can feel you coming

And every move I make in time and space
I know you’re there, in the shadows
And every burning night I try to shake
I know you’re there, I feel you there

And every move you, always
I know you’re there, like a phantom
And every movement, always
I know you’re there, I feel you there
In every way, in every thing
I know you’re right there with me
I feel you right there by me
In every way

Every move I make in time and space
I know you’re there, in the shadows
And every burning night I try to shake
I know you’re there, I feel you there

And every move you, always
I know you’re there, like a phantom
And every movement, always
I know you’re there, I feel you there
And every move I make in time in space
Always
And every burning night I try to shake
Feel you there like a phantom
Always

Kenna - Phantom Always

To L.N. I’m sorry I never got the chance to tell you what was really going on, what was going through my mind, and for not doing what both you and I know I should have done. Even though it’s been over 2 years, song sums up what I’ve been feeling lately.

I hope he truly makes you happy.

Something that’s been coming up a lot in my pondering is deciding between doing what I need to be doing and what I want to do. I know that I need to be take care of myself first, lock down that job, and be career oriented for a while. Only thing is, I want to be in a relationship right now as well. Doing both seems like I’d be spreading myself too thin.

I’ve been told by my business mentor that I shouldn’t be thinking about girls, and to only think about what I can do to further better myself and get that money. However, this song always comes out of left field and starts playing in my head, coaxing me to continue to chase after these girls that seem to be wasting my time.

I suppose moving away would be running away from my conundrum, but it is sounding more and more like an extremely viable option. I dunno, I guess I’m just waiting for something better to happen. Whether that be working around home, moving away to work, or to keep chasing these girls remains to be seen.

"And you make me feel
Feel so shine and new
Like I’ll never be blue again”

Mayer Hawthorne - Shiny and New

Dunno if it worth trying to find someone that will make me feel like that again for a while. Always end up giving up too much of me.

Wish this was the view out my window.
